Tara earned her master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran. Her master’s thesis studied passenger satisfaction in a public transportation system. Her research interests include and go beyond public transit, travel behavior, intelligent transportation systems, and the application of optimization, machine learning, and deep learning in transportation.
Tara started pursuing her Ph.D. and joined the transportation research group at University of Manitoba in May 2021. Her current research is focused on zoning optimization for autonomous Demand Responsive Transit.
