Sai Naveen received his Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani-Hyderabad, India. In this tenure, he dealt with public perception toward electric mobility on online social networks, and bus transit demand analysis and route optimization. Later, he worked as a Junior Research Fellow in a USA-India DST-NSF-funded project at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi.

He joined the PhD program at the University of Manitoba in Winter 2024. His Ph.D. work focuses on predicting the range of battery electric buses and optimizing transit operations for seamless electrification of bus transit in cold weather regions. His research interests include public transit planning and operations, electric mobility, freight transportation, and transport and environment.
