The impact of traffic periodicities and spatial relationships on the validity of annual average daily traffic 

Biography:

Dr. Giuseppe Grande is a Research Associate for the University of Manitoba Traffic and Information Group. He completed his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering in 2021, also at the University of Manitoba. His thesis focused on traffic monitoring practices, especially with regards to traffic patterns and annual average daily traffic. His current research is on road freight transportation in the Canadian prairie region.  

Dr. Grande has been involved with multiple professional organizations as part of his graduate studies and post-graduate research work. He is currently registered as an Engineer in Training with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba, a former member of the Transportation Research Board Highway Traffic Monitoring Standing Committee, and a former Institute of Transportation Engineers Student Chapter President and winner of the John Vardon Memorial Scholarship.
