Highway Transportation Network Analysis

Biography:

Janak Kharel completed his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 2014 and worked in transportation projects in Nepal led by UK-based consulting firm, IMC-Worldwide for more than 5 years. During the period he engaged with road design, construction, and maintenance including providing supports on road asset management for the local governments. In Sep 2020, he enrolled at the University of Tokyo, Japan for his master’s degree and graduated in September 2022, where his research was titled “Study on the Impacts of Weather Conditions on the Motorway Network Performance” 

Starting January 2024, Janak is a Ph. D student at the University of Manitoba. His areas of research interests are focused on traffic monitoring and management, network analysis and intelligent transport systems.
